With the media constantly bombarding us with images of what women should look like, itâs important to do what we can to surround ourselves with more positive messages. I follow these accounts on Instagram because they make me feel confident and expand my views of beauty from the narrow ones the majority of media represents.
1) Iskra Lawrence (@iamiskra)Â
Iska is a model for Aerie in their anti retouching campaign. I love Iskra in particular because I relate to her and I love her style. It was life changing for me to see someone so confident and gorgeous who is open and proud about what society has deemed her âflaws.â A couple of examples: she calls her cellulite tiger stripes and her spider veins lightning bolts. Her âI donât give a f*$@ if you donât like itâ attitude inspires me to be unapologetically me.
Â
2) Winnie Harlow @winnieharlow
Winnie was on Americaâs Next Top Model and her pictures are always amazing. She speaks out about her skin condition- Vitiligo, and self esteem.
Â
3) Ashley Graham @theashleygraham
This gorgeous model is all about acceptance and confidence.
Â
4) Olivia Campbell @curvycampbell
Olivia Campbell posts her edgy photos often captioned with beautiful and inspirational poetry.
Â
5) Nadia Aboulhosn @nadiaaboulhosn
I love this curvy fashion bloggerâs aesthetic plus her brows are majorly on fleek
Â
Demi encourages her fans by being open about her struggles with confidence and mental health. Sheâs totally body positive and has an inspiring account to follow.

Zendaya fought against unrealistic standards created by photoshopping in this post and keeps it real on her account.
