In-Boston & BU Sexual Assault Resources

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, it can be stressful to know what to do in the state of crisis. Based on concerning numbers from last year’s BU sexual misconduct survey, the University has addressed plans to take action. After the recent assault case in West Campus, BUPD notified students to be aware of their surroundings and to remember safety in numbers. As important as it is for universities to respond to sexual assault, students should know how to take their own action.

Listed below are BU resources and Boston-area counselors for assistance. Your Terrier Card is valuable because the Crisis and Sexual Assault hotline and on-campus emergency numbers are on the back.

The Crisis Intervention Counselor can help you understand how you are feeling and what your options are. You can say “no” to any of the options presented to you.
