Cape Coats: Flying into BU This Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

As Boston starts to shift from fall to winter weather, the usual North Face parka coat that many wear to keep warm may not be the typical go-to coat this season. With the cold weather coming, it is easy to put fashion aside and put body warmth first. Fear no more! Introducing: The Cape Coat.

The Cape Coat is a new style coat that combines the warmth of a winter coat with the style of a cape, but unfortunately there is no special flying gear that comes with these coats to get to class faster. The cape coat gives extra room to layer shirts and sweaters, which are a must for those cold winters in Boston. The great part about cape coats is how easy they are to act as both a winter coat and as a big soft blanket so you can stay comfortable in class. They look especially great with a fitted pair of jeans or leggings to balance the wide width, and you can even belt the cape to make it more fitted to your own body.

The cape coat, which was previewed in many designer collections for this fall has finally reached department stores where BU students can pick them up for great prices, like the ones shown below.
