Fall, in general, is a wonderful time of year: the apple cider, the pumpkin carving, and the colorful trees. A true highlight of fall for me, though? Halloween. I love Halloween. Any excuse to dress up and be who ever I want to be is just fantastic. So many costumes for women, however, give off that DTF vibe that I am just not into giving off on this special night out. So, I have compiled a list of 5 Halloween costumes that solve that problem of wanting to feel cute, but not slutty.
1. Minions from Despicable Me
Â
This is adorable and flexible costume can be made or bought, thus revealing as much or little as you want. It is also a great last minute costume if you find yourself scrambling.
Â
2. Soda cans
Â
This one takes a little planning, but there are definitely affordable ways to make this. I’ve also seen people be ketchup/mustard, nail polish colors, or Crayola crayons in the same decorated dress-type fashion. Cute!
Â
3. Superheroes
Â
Again, this is such a cute and flexible costume that can be bought or made. You can go as a crew of superheroes with friends or show the world how super you truly are by working that tutu solo.
Â
4. Board games
Â
Halloween costumes are all about creative inspiration. Try thinking about your favorite board games!
Â
5. Troll Dolls
Â
Because when you have a crew of your best friends, who wouldn’t want to dress up in the weirdest way possible? Be wacky. It’s Halloween.
If you want something specific and are struggling to find a more conservative version in stores, consider DIY like a lot of these costumes. While this takes more planning, the result is frankly a lot cuter than pre-made costumes. Another plus, you won’t be watching your cleavage all night. There are costumes in stores too that could work with a pair of legging or t-shirt underneath. However, if you do want to break loose on Halloween night, and shake it up with a little extra leg, you go girl!
