Don’t question it just accept it. “It” being the beautiful weather that has come to Boston this winter. Ever since winter break, Boston has felt a lot like spring and far from the usual long dreary days of snow, sleet, rain and cold winter weather. With this wonderful winter weather comes the challenge of dressing appropriate. If you are like me and brought most of your summer clothing home over break to make room for sweaters and scarves, than you need to find a solution to dressing appropriate so you don’t over heat when walking to class.
Instead of wearing uncomfortable layers of sweaters, leggings, and winter accessories, accept the challenge of dressing in breezy clothes that keep you warm and cool at the same time. First, throw on a great short sleeve t-shirt dress. This eliminates that closterfobic feeling of your sweater drowning you. Because it is short sleeve, throw on a denim shirt for some warmth. Instead of wearing your oversized down jacket, take out that spring leather jacket. With your dress, denim shirt, and this you should feel warm enough! Add knee-high knit socks to keep your legs warm. They are a great alternative to jeans because of their lightweight. Keep out your warm winter accessories for those few cold days, but soak in the nice weather while you can and add a touch of spring to your outfits.
