I met Mara on the day of my group interview to become an admissions ambassador, but we ended up running into each other again in the basement of the admissions building before the first of our two practice tours, called MenTours. Since then, we’ve stayed in touch and hang out often. It’s easy for people to tell you that you meet some amazing people through clubs and activities here at Boston University, but Mara is a prime example of how I’ve seen that to be true in my own life. Not only that, but I know she’s a fantastic tour guide and proof of the bright future of the Admissions Ambassador program.
Regarding the Admissions Ambassador program, Mara said she thinks that “the admissions ambassador program is an awesome way to share the BU community with visitors and to also make new friends”.
Outside of the ambassador program, Mara was just initiated into a pre-law fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta, and loves to go adventuring around the city on Harbor tours, going to movies, and whatever else comes to the mind of a typical Boston student. On all of these excursions and even when she’s around campus, she takes beautiful pictures and posts them on her social media accounts, like Instagram and Facebook for all of us to see the beauty of Boston.
Mara is also a participant in BU’s International Affairs Association through Model United Nations. Her activities and experiences on campus give a great look into just a few of the many options of things to get involved in at BU and in Boston!
