SOS – The Jonas Brothers are Officially Reuniting

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

Calling all fangirls! The Jonas Brothers are officially reuniting. Yes, you read that right. The trio you know from Disney Channel and Camp Rock have finally dropped a new single called “Sucker” on March 1.

The band, which has sold more than 17 million albums and has over 1 billion streams worldwide, officially broke up in October of 2013. They were about to embark on a national tour and release their fifth studio album. There were some issues within the band that lead to their disbanding.

Since then the three have done a lot in their lives. Kevin and his wife Danielle have had two daughters, Alena Rose and Valentina Angelina. Joe formed band DNCE which released a self-titled album and went on a 14-date tour. Joe also became engaged to Sophie Turner after less than a year of dating. Nick embarked on a solo career, releasing three studio albums, as well as taking on the big screen in Goat and Jumanji.  Nick also married actress Priyanka Chopra in the last year.

In January of 2018, the band’s Instagram account was reactivated, causing speculation of a possible reunion. The rumors died down for a while until resurfacing in the past few weeks.

The band confirmed the reunion on their Instagram early on Thursday.

After releasing their new single, the Jonas Brothers will have a dedicated week – March 4 to March 7 – on the Late Late Show.

I don’t know about you, but I am extremely excited for the Jonas Brothers reunion. My childhood fangirl is literally screaming. While I add the new single to my playlist, I’m just going to play “Year 3000” and “Burnin’ Up” on full volume.
