College is a stressful time, but we can’t let our busy schedules get in the way of our health. A hot cup of tea is one of the best and easiest ways to help our bodies. There are endless benefits to drinking tea, and the best part is that there is tea for just about everything you could think of. If you’re not a tea drinker yet, here are a few recommendations to try!
1. Passionflower Tea
Relieves high anxiety, so it’s perfect to drink before bed to calm your mind.
2. Oolong Tea
Assists with weight loss because it contains an antioxidant that boosts the metabolism.
3. White Tea
The antioxidant in this tea assists with weight loss, as well as combats signs of aging (it’s never too early to start fighting against wrinkles!) Research also has found signs of this tea protecting against certain cancers.
4. Black Tea
Fresh breath! These antioxidants stop plaque from clinging to teeth. Gross, I know, but it makes your breath smell great! It also may help to prevent diabetes.
5. Ginger Tea
Stops headaches because it reduces brain inflammation in about the same amount of time for aspirin to work!
6. Green Tea
If you had to choose one tea, this should be it. Green tea shows the best benefit for overall health, including its effectiveness in fighting cancer, and possible prevention of dementia.
7. Nettle Tea
This tea acts as an antihistamine and can prevent allergy attacks and symptoms.
8. Valerian Root Tea
If you have trouble sleeping, try out this one! It has natural compounds that have been used as a sedative and therefore may help you fall asleep faster.
9. Safflower Tea
Heart Health! Drinking safflower tea once a day can decrease inflammation in your arteries and prevent heart disease.
Enjoy your teatime!
