Things to Look Forward to in Boston during the Spring

1. Food Truck Season

Beginning April 1st, the food truck season is back in Boston! There will be a variety of old food trucks such as Moyzilla, Cookie Monstah and Roxy’s Grilled Cheese and new trucks like Food Food Generation and North East of the Border. 2. Boston Marathon
 
This year will mark The 119th annual Boston Marathon. As thousands of runners take part in this historical run, there will be several public celebrations going on around the city. The Boston Marathon takes place on Monday, April 20. The marathon itself will go through Boston University so get ready for this exciting event! 3. Charles Canoe & Kayak
 
To celebrate and start off the warmer weather in Boston, take a day off with your friends to go canoeing or kayaking on the Charles River. The closest locations for rentals are in Kendall Square or Allston/Brighton and they will re-open on Saturday, May 2.  Not only will you able to get a workout into your day, but you will also get to witness the amazing Boston city skyline from the water. 4. SoWa Market
 
SoWa is back again on May 4 through October 26, every Sunday from 10am – 4 pm. SoWa is an open market full of vendors and artisans who sell their handmade products. It also has a vintage market that offers beautiful antiques and collectibles. The best part of all is that SoWa offers a variety of food vendors at their Farmer’s Market as well as New England’s best Food Trucks. 5. Boston Calling
 
 
Boston Calling is coming back Friday, May 22 – Sunday, May 24 this year at City Hall Plaza. If you didn’t know, Boston Calling is a three-day Music Festival that offers two stages, food, services, and free giveaways from specific vendors. With performances by artists and bands like Run The Jewels, Pixies, Tove Lo, Marina and the Diamonds, The Ballroom Thieves and so much more, there is something for everyone.
