Hooray! The last birthday you’ll ever look forward to has come and gone and you are finally legal. The champagne (or Andre disguised as champagne) has been popped and you’ve had your first round of margaritas at Sunset. You can finally get to live the life you’ve always dreamed of living in Boston. Mimosas on Newbury for brunch and freezing in line outside of TITS are coming your way. Here are a few things you can finally do now that you’re legal.
1) Drink a beer at Fenway
What’s cooler than going to a baseball game in your backyard? Doing it with a cold beer in your hand. Something about baseball and beer makes you feel patriotic, so put on your cap and grab a cold one.
2) Tour the Sam Adam’s Brewery
Sam Adams is one of the most famous Bostonians in history. Along with the Freedom Trail, Fanuiel Hall, and the Boston Common, the Sam Adams brewery should be on your list of Boston tourist attractions. You can finally score that free sample you’ve waited 20 years for.
3) Topple some pins at Jillian’s
Now that you’re a fully legal adult, what could be better than being a kid for the night and going bowling? The full bar and a group of your friends will make this outing nothing like the old-school parties you went to for Hannah’s 8th birthday. Grab an 8-pounder and some hideous shoe and get yourself a strike.
4) Howl at the Moon
Howl at the Moon is the nationally located dueling piano bar that you can now go to! Get a few drinks and request some Lady GaGa or Journey to have your own version of drunken karaoke and dance the night away. What could be better?
5) Beer Festival/Wine Festivals
There’s seemingly another beer or wine festival every weekend in Boston. Buy a pass and spend the weekend sampling specialty lagers and oaky chardonnays. There’s nothing wrong with a little day drinking.
