Become a Celebrity Protégé!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bucknell chapter.
We’ve all dreamed about meeting our favorite celebs, but having them as a mentor?! Now that’s a different story!  Lucky for us, Blackberry is holding a contest that can make this dream a reality.

BBM Challenge Council members (Whitney Port, Greyson Chance, Hope Solo, Lauren Berger, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Jared Eng) want to teach YOU how to make it big!  Here’s what you have to do:

  • Create a short video or a photo + essay about why you would be a good celebrity apprentice.
  • Choose three of your Facebook friends to help you win this awesome competition!
  • Top teams (you and three friends) will compete against other finalists in 4 challenges over the next 8 weeks to claim your protege prize!
  • If your team is selected as a finalist, you and your friends will receive a FREE BLACKBERRY SMARTPHONE to help you win the competition.
  • But wait, it gets better: your favorite BBM Challenge Council celebrity will personally message you in a private BBM group– how cool is that?!
  • All final submissions will be posted online for public voting.  The more votes your team receives, the better chance you have of winning!

What do you win?  You’ll receive an all-expenses paid trip to spend the day with a BBM Challenge Council celebrity!

So recruit your friends and start working on those submissions, because YOU could be one step closer to stardom!!
Cameron is a senior at Bucknell University pursuing degrees in English and Theatre. Born and raised in suburban Philadelphia, she is a member of Delta Gamma sorority and recently spent a semester abroad in London (tea and scones galore!). Her favorite things include (but are not limited to) anything with the word "coffee" in it, her two shih tzus, peppermint gum, reality tv, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, dancing, staying active, and singing. Her claim to fame? She was a street shoutout on the show "Cash Cab".
