Fashion Forecast: November 28-December 2

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bucknell chapter.
Ladies, welcome back to the Buck! With Thanksgiving break and plenty of home cooked meals behind us, I hope that you all have come back to Bucknell feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. Although we still have another two weeks to go and final exams to complete, there is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel with the reward of over one whole month off!! Since crunch time can and will most likely be very stressful for all, I’m writing this week so that planning your outfits is one less thing you’ll have to stress about. Here’s a look at this week’s weather and the outfits you can wear to match it:
Monday, November 28: Clouds and sun with a high of 62. Even as late as the end of November, the weather is surprisingly warm! For a day like today, cuffed skinny jeans and flats is a smart outfit choice. Pair with a long-sleeved shirt or light sweater, a long necklace, and a vest to top it all off, and you’ve got a look that screams dressed-up casual.
Tuesday, November 29: Showers in the afternoon with a high of 60. Today, it’s smart to keep the rain gear handy and keep your outfit simple in case you’re caught in showers later in the day. I suggest pairing jeans with a cardigan, cotton tee, and boots for a simple look if the weather takes a turn for the rainy later in the day.
Wednesday, November 30: Rain and possible snow with a high of 46. Brrr! A change from the warm weather we’ve been having lately, today will be drastically chillier than previous ones. Also, the possibility of snow brings on more complications to picking out an outfit than usual! I’d stick with leggings, rain boots, and an oversized sweater for today so that you don’t ruin any good clothes and can keep warm through the cold. Make it fabulous by adding a bright scarf or some fun earrings!
Thursday, December 1: Partly cloudy with a high of 48. The month of Hanukkah and Christmas, December has finally arrived. Start the month off right by pairing a dressier sweater with leather boots and dark skinny jeans for a classic look that never fails to impress. Or, rock a sweater dress with tights or leggings for a style that’s always classy yet comfortable.
Friday, December 2: Partly cloudy with a high of 45. A day similar to yesterday, switch things up a bit by pairing a nice, flowy tank with a long cardigan and either jeans or leggings. Wear boots and heavier socks to keep yourself warm in the cold, and don’t forget your pea coat!!
Since December will arrive this week, this means that winter break will come before we know it. With a week full of work for most of us, I encourage you to study hard yet schedule time to relax as well. Even though the stress of getting work done, finishing up classes, and studying for exams is a lot to handle, remember to put your best face (and outfit) forward each day and give it all you’ve got!
Fashionably yours,
Jen Lassen
