Since October has arrived along with true fall weather, fashion will inevitably take a turn for the bulkier! This means sweaters, boots, and layers in the upcoming week. Also, our beloved Fall Break begins this Friday…can someone say shopping?! It’ll be a great time to buy some new cardis, get a mani-pedi, sip a hot cocoa, and catch up on some beauty sleep. But before break arrives, here’s what you can plan on wearing this first week of October. Even though it will be colder than last week’s 80-degree days, it won’t hold you back from still looking fabulous!
Monday, October 3: Showers and temperatures in the mid 50’s. One word: WELLIES. Keep the Hunter boots handy, tuck in leggings or skinny jeans, and wear a sweatshirt (preferably a Bucknell one) to keep warm today. Since it’s a Monday and not-so-great weather, why not go totally comfortable?
Tuesday, October 4: Morning showers, afternoon clouds with temperatures in the low 60’s. Wear rain gear in the morning, then in the afternoon switch to something cozier: try a pair of skinny jeans with cute leather boots and a light cardi and tee! It’s casual yet comfortable enough for a day like this.
Wednesday, October 5: Partly cloudy and temperatures in the low 60’s. No rain today (yay!), yet clouds will still mask the sunshine. To turn this dreary day from blasé to fab, I suggest wearing a cute fall dress or high-waisted skirt, tights, tall leather boots, and a sweater or cardigan to go with it. It’s a look that will turn heads and brighten up a rather ordinary day!
Thursday, October 6: Mostly sunny and temperatures in the mid-60’s. A sunny day?! What a pleasant surprise! Since sunshine calls for bright colors, why not incorporate some into your wardrobe? Pair skinny jeans and flats with a neutral top and a bright scarf, necklace, or earrings to complete the look. It’ll still say fall but will add vibrancy to an outfit that matches the brightness of the day!
Friday, October 7: Mostly sunny and temperatures in the mid-60’s. More sunshine and fall break beginning today? What could be better! Since most of you will be traveling home today, go comfortable with leggings, flats or boots, a long, flowy cardi, and a cotton tee. Pull your hair back in a sleek bun and do simple make-up and jewelry so you’ll look clean and fresh when you see the family.
So go home, eat a home-cooked meal, sleep in your own bed, and enjoy your vacation away from Lewisburg. But remember– even while you’re away, you can use these easy tips to keep looking fabulous!
Fashionably yours,
Jen Lassen
