Online Workouts You Can Do In Your Dorm Room

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bucknell chapter.

Too lazy to go to the gym but still want to work out?  We feel ya.  In this winter weather, it is almost impossible to find the motivation to leave your warm, comfy dorm room to trek all the way through the blizzard to the gym to work out.  But now, you can work out right in your dorm room.  Here are a few workouts that we’ve found:

Tone inner thighs without machines

Believe it or not, you can still get the same workout in your dorm room that you get on the machines at the gym.  Personal trainer Jessica Smith at Shape Magazine demonstrates a plié squat with a leg sweep in this video.  This workout is a substitute for the inner thigh machine.

Abs

Seveteen Magazine posts a ton of videos by their training team about health and fitness.  Here is an awesome abs-blasting workout clip.  It is a “Sexy Summer Abs” video that targets the abdominals and the obliques.  Summer isn’t anytime soon, but spring break is!

All over workout

For a great all over workout, Marie Claire shares the “Do-Anywhere” workout.

Women’s Health Magazine has even made a fitness video on working out at home with no equipment.

Sarah Dubow graduated from school in 2013 and is a Digital Strategist at Marina Maher Communications in New York City. After serving as Campus Correspondent at Bucknell University, she is so excited to continue being a part of the Her Campus team! Besides traversing the city and trying to figure out what being a "real person" really means, Sarah loves long walks on the beach, sipping pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain (kidding!). Real favorites include traveling, writing, kickboxing, and making up ridiculous lyrics to the latest songs. She absolutely loves anything that involves cupcakes, butterflies, glitter, and anything Parisian and specializes in baking with far too much chocolate and obsessively watching shows bound to be cancelled after the first season. Though the long term path for this post-grad collegiette remains unclear, she's looking forward to all the new 20-something adventures that await her!  Â
