Spring Summary: Things To Look Forward To

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bucknell chapter.

With every passing day, we move one step further from those long, cold, miserable days of winter and one step closer to long, warm, gorgeous days of spring. Lucky for us, spring at Bucknell is one of the most gorgeous times of the year (right next to the fall, which will be approaching sooner than we think). For senior collegiettes in denial about graduation just a few weeks away, this is a quite depressing time. Even for everyone else, it is a sad time as our days together are dwindling. However, there is no time for those end of the year scaries because there is SO much to look forward to in the next few weeks….

1.Afternoons on the quad: There is nothing better than ditching the library and your homework for long afternoons of lounging on the grass in the quad with all your friends.

2.Cherry trees blossoming: How lucky are we to attend one of the most beautiful colleges in the United States?! The blossoming of the cherry trees around campus remind us of Bucknell’s beauty.

3.Saturday afternoons downtown: Warmer weather means that Saturdays are now reserved for dancing all afternoon in cute sundresses with all of our friends – Dunkin’ cups in hand.

4.The Freez: Lewisburg’s finest has been open since mid-March. However, frigid temperatures recently have made for a less than optimal environment for ice cream. With temperatures rising quickly, the Freez will soon become everyone’s go-to snack.

5.Bye, Frackets: Warm spring nights mean no longer having to wear a fracket, which means not having to worry about losing, stealing or buying one every weekend anymore!

6.Bison Sound: April 18 marks the first-ever spring music and arts festival! From 4-9 p.m. on Sojka Lawn, there will be performances by Panama Wedding, Mainland and The Rooks with student performers opening. With great drinks, food, and company, the inaugural Bison Sound is destined to be a hit!

7.Chrysalis: There is no better way to end the year than dancing the night away at Chrysalis with all of your friends and, more importantly, professors.
