Palestinian Buses in Israel. While this has been in the news for a while, the buzz has picked up again, as one of the buses was recently set on fire. If you need a refresher, earlier on this month, the Israeli government started operating a Palestinian-only bus service to transport workers to and from the West Bank into Israel. Why is this so controversial? Um, it’s only a civil rights/segregation issue between the two nation-states with one of the oldest conflicts in the contemporary Middle East. Pope Francis might not be so saintly. Now that the Catholic Church has found a replacement for Benedict, it’s about time the new Pope’s dirty laundry was aired for all to see. It seems that the new Pope Francis might have known that an Archbishop in his Archdiocese was molesting prepubescent boys. Read up on the scandal, here.
Drug Recall. Health care providers were urged to stop using all products from New Jersey drug company, Med Prep, after fungus was found in some of their products. While the recall is still voluntary at this point, the FDA strongly encourages it. This one hits close to home, as one of the states to which Med Prep ships is Pennsylvania! We’re Going Dancing! In case you live under a rock, Bucknell made it to the NCAA tournament for the sixth time in its history. We’re set to play Butler on Thursday, March 21st. What could possibly be more exciting than making it to the Big Dance? Oh, just being called the Cinderella team of the tournament! Read up, get hyped!
