This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bucknell chapter.
Hometown: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Major: Spanish and International Relations
Class Year: 2012
When he is not giving tours of campus to potential students, or studying in Seventh Street, this campus cutie is busy being a social butterfly. Voted as one of this weekend’s Homecoming Hosts, Wes Pyron definitely brings life to Bucknell’s campus.
The Basics:
Favorite Book: Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Favorite Movie: V for Vendetta
Favorite store: Urban Outfitters
Most played song on your ipod: Lady Gaga, probably Poker Face specifically. I’ve played it about 13,000 times.
Favorite Class so far at Bucknell: Ethics in International Relations with Professor Shinko. It is one of those clichéd life changing classes, but it pushes you off a cliff and changes all perspectives on life. It’s fun, learning how to critically think.
Favorite aspect of Bucknell: People.
Campus Activities: Student Coordinator in Admissions, Co-Chair of Senior Gift Drive, Orientation Assistant, President of Conservatives Club, Member of Jelani, Resident College Staff and Alum.
Campus Posse: Depends on the day.
General Interests: I like running, and reading for fun when I can. Trying new foods.
Little Known Fact: I had plastic surgery on my nose. When I was two, I was running with a pacifier in my mouth and I fell. It nearly cut off my nose.
Girls, Girls, Girls:
Relationship Status: Single
What you look for in a girl: eyes, shy confidence, and swag
Female turnoff: Girls that don’t know how to have a two way conversation. They just talk, all the time, about nothing.
Celebrity Crush: Ellie Goulding
The Best of the Rest:
Proudest Accomplishment: (After a lot of thought) When we were visiting friends in London, I got separated from them for the night. I made friends with strangers, who let me crash with them outside of London. They bought me a train ticket. I proceeded to navigate London with no money, no phone, and no clue where I was going. Through parts of my memory, I was able to find my friends. It wasn’t my proudest accomplishment, but it was an accomplishment that surprised me.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years: I don’t know. My interests in my life are unpredictable, so I wouldn’t want to have a set answer. Keep traveling and keep learning. And keep living.
3 words to describe you: Weird, truthful, and social.
