If you aren’t a fan of watching motivational and self improvement talks you need to get on the “talk train” now! Here are three talks that truly changed my life to get you started!

We’ve all been alone in a crowded room. Nicole Johnson connects with this feeling and reminds us about the important role everyone serves, even when they are feeling unnoticed. This is such an encouraging talk and truly changed my viewpoint.

2. If I Should Have a Daughter by Sarah Kay

Holy fudge. This ted talk will change your life. Spoken word poet, Sarah Kay tells her coming of age story. She begins with her poem “If I Should Have a Daughter” and to be honest, this poem alone is a game changer. Sarah’s ideas are intense and remind us of what every woman wants for herself and those they love. Sarah continues and shares her journey and it is an inspirational guide to staying strong, vulnerable and dedicated.

3. Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance by Angela Lee Duckworth

Angela gives a compelling talk about the power of “grit.” This talk has been an extreme motivator in my life and she even has a corresponding book. Her talk and book are all about the power of perseverance. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.
