Why did you choose to come to CofC?Well of course I was impressed with CofC’s academics, and I loved that it was a liberal arts school, but really I chose to come to CofC when I visited the campus, draped in Spanish moss, for the first time. I was completely awed by the friendly community and incredible history of the school as well as all of Charleston.
Tell us a little bit about your experience abroad.I studied abroad in Northern Ireland for one semester At Queen’s University Belfast. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I took classes on Celtic mythology and traveled all around Northern Ireland as well as Ireland from Giant’s Causeway in the north, Dublin in the east, Cork in the south and the Cliffs of Moher in the West. I could not get enough of the incredible history and natural beauty of the island. Living in an international dorm, I also gained friends from all over the world that became my second family. I miss them dearly and still talk to them daily.
What has been the best experience for you during your time at CofC so far?The best experience during my time at CofC so far has been working with the faculty here towards amazing opportunities to follow my passions from studying abroad in Northern Ireland to hopefully getting to participate in archaeological fieldwork in Hungary.
What is your dream job?My dream job is probably to become an archaeologist working on digs somewhere in Europe.
What is your favorite:Food: Pad ThaiMovie: The AvengersBook: Jane EyreTV show: OutlanderThing about Charleston: That there is always something to do, someone friendly to meet, and someplace beautiful to explore.
Finally, what’s something most people don’t know about you? Most people don’t know that I rode a camel and an Elephant while traveling in India.
