I had the opportunity to talk with Neen about how she handles her midterm crisis’. She is a genuine and unique person that had some great advice to share about midterms.Â

What are you involved with on campus?
Literally nothing.
How do you juggle extra activities with classwork and homework?
I schedule my classes to only be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so that leaves me more days to focus on school work and staying on top of it as well as my weekends can be free for me!
What are some ways you cope with a “midterm meltdown” when a dreaded exam is approaching?
I definitely allow myself the personal time to clear out anything going on that could distract me from studying and then I study. I also make sure to balance my study time with breaktime so that I’m not getting overwhelmed or frustrated with work and I don’t allow myself too much break time or I’ll lose focus. It’s all about balance really.
What tips do you have about preparing for a midterm?
I think prepping for a midterm is about not scaring yourself into a panic. You already know the material so all that is needed is for you to refresh yourself on it and not let the word “midterm” psyche you out at all.
What tips do you have for those who’ve forgotten to prepare for a midterm?
If you’ve forgotten to prepare I definitely think that going into a panic is the LAST thing that you would want to do. You have to breathe and remind yourself that you do know the material and if you haven’t been to class or sincerely know nothing I say just wing it because you’re bound to get something right. Have faith! Â
Thans for the tips, Neen! HCXO
