As the Fall semester is in full swing and midterms lurk around the corner, here are some events happening around Charleston to completely ignore it all and have a little fun. All work and no play. . .

October 6th: Show a little Cougar Pride by attending the Fall Fest!

Event Details: “Fall” into the new season with us as we celebrate CAB’s second annual Fall Fest! Featuring classic carnival games, a free BBQ picnic, and local music (TBA) starting at 7:30, there’s something for everyone! Event is open to all CofC students”

 

October 14th: 90s Bar Crawl – Charleston

Come party the night away like it’s’ the 90’s.

Lace up your LA Gears, slap on your bracelets and saddle up your Furbies. We’re taking on Charleston, 90s style, on Saturday, October 14, 2017!

October 21st: South Carolina Taco Festival

Details: South Carolina’s 1st Annual Taco Festival is taking place at The Historic Columbia Speedway on Saturday October 21st! Please be prepared to enjoy…

WHAT TO EXPECT

At the event, you’ll find over 25 of the area’s best restaurants & food purveyors dishing out a variety of $3 tacos (sold separately). There will be cash bars and beverage stations serving margaritas, tequila flights, ice cold beer, water, soda & more. Tacos will work on a voucher system – there will be various voucher stations throughout the festival & all vouchers will be exchanged at vendors for tacos and related items. Additional vendors will be on hand to sell other food (cotton candy, cakes, desserts etc) as well. Multiple ATMs will be on site & strongly encourage cash sales at voucher stations.

 

November 1st: Souls + Saints: Dia de los Muertos!

Charleston Food and Wine is hosting, you can’t miss it!

December 2nd: To run off all the food and drinks don’t miss the 27th Annual Reindeer Run. Made even better because it is a charitable event!

Details: Join us for Charitable Society of Charleston‘s fun, festive 5K in downtown Charleston along the Battery. This family-friendly, charitable race is for runners, walkers, children, and dogs of all ages – strollers are welcome. Proceeds benefit the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital Fund. Post-race party and beer garden are hosted at Lagunitas Charleston TapRoom and Beer Sanctuary.
