1. Coffee just isn’t cutting it anymoreÂ
Staying up all night writing that five page paper is getting old real fast and that fifth cup of coffee isn’t even helping.
2. You have no desire to go out on the weekendsÂ
When the weekend finally comes, all you want to do is lay in bed and watch Netflix. Partying isn’t even on your mind anymore.
3. Naps are non-existentÂ
College students live for their naps. When there’s no time for naps, everyone is on edge. Note: Do not talk to any college student that is this close to break and has no time for naps.
4. The library feels like your home away from homeÂ
When you’re neck deep in final papers and studying note cards, you slowly realize how soon all of these assignments are due and can’t help but have a nervous breakdown every hour on the hour and vent to anyone sitting near you.
5. That six-page minimum is starting to turn into five pages and one paragraphÂ
My professor said it counted if it wasn’t a full page, right?
6. You are genuinely jealous of people still in high schoolÂ
Because let’s face it, the best part about high school was coming home to a stocked fridge and nap time at 3 p.m. five days a week. None of this “stuffing food in your face while going to that 9 p.m. study session” before your final.
7. Your wardrobe has consisted of wearing sweatshirts and sweatpants every day and maybe the occasional leggingsÂ
You have no desire to look socially acceptable and you consider putting something besides UGG boots on as dressing up for class.
8. Everyone is gettig on your nervesÂ
Let’s face it, those couple weeks before we all go home for winter break are one of the most stressful times. At this point in the semester you start wondering why you agree to have friends because you just want to be left alone.
The week before going home for break can be rough but you’ll get through it!
