In October of 1987, Nancy Reagan was diagnosed with breast cancer. She overcame this by getting a mastectomy and was then cancer free 17 days later. She didn’t let cancer get in the way of her life!

In her years after college, Nancy passed a screen test and signed with Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios (MGM) and was in numerous movies. She was even in the movie Hellcats of the Navy with her husband Ronald Reagan in 1957.
Whether it was for her loyalty to her husband, fashion sense, philanthropy, strength, or her successful acting career, Nancy Reagan will forever be an inspiration to all. Â Â

This notable woman’s funeral was held on March 11th at the Ronald Reagan Presidental Library, 5 miles away from the California Lutheran University campus. May she continue to inspire all.
