Â
Her Campus: What do the CLU students know you best for?Â
Amber Trujillo: I would say they know me best for my BeyoncĂ© inspired “On The Run” campaign for 2015-2016 Programs Board Director! When I was running in the executive cabinet elections I made an awesome campaign video, posters, and social media campaign that people still associate with me today! I also am known for planning programs board sponsored events such as Monte Carlo Night, Mr. Kingsmen, and Spring Formal!Â
HC: What are all the activities/extracurriculars you are involved in at CLU?
AT: I am involved in ASCLUG as a Programs Committee Chair, involved in the CLU choir, and a Peer Advisor! Next year I will be the ASCLUG Programs Board Director and a Peer Advisor Lead.
HC: What are your plans for after college?
AT: My hope is to get an full time job in a major company, hopefully working in their operations and events department!Â
HC: What inspired you to choose your major?
AT: I originally I chose to major in business because it was a safe option and I wasn’t exactly sure of what I wanted to do. However, it worked out and I have a lot of options with it, even though I know I want to go into the events industry.Â
HC: What is your favorite thing about CLU?
AT: I would say the community of CLU is my favorite thing! Everyone knows each other because it is such a small school and that creates so many opportunities for students to succeed.Â
HC: Fun fact about yourself?
AT: I love BeyoncĂ©.Â
HC: Favorite movie?
AT: My Big Fat Greek Wedding
HC: Celebrity crush?
AT: Beyoncé and Jay-Z
HC: Alternate major?
AT: If I had to choose, maybe communications.
HC: Most memorable moment at CLU thus far?
AT: I would say running Monte Carlo Night because it was my first event that I planned for the students! I had so much fun running around all night and heard from so many students that they loved the event!
HC: Words of wisdom/favorite quote you live by?
AT: Life is short, if you want something go out and get it! It’s better to make a mistake trying to achieve your goal then regretting not doing something about it!
