Kathleen Braby: Flattered… yes… I feel famous.

KB: Marvel men.
HC: Where is your favorite place on campus?
KB: I like hanging out in my dorm.
HC: What is your favorite TV show?
KB: The Walking Dead
HC: If you could describe thyself in one word what would it be and why?
KB: Spontaneous, because I’ll think of doing something spontaneous like getting my nose pierced and I’ll do it.
HC: What are your deal breakers in a relationship?
KB: Someone that can’t find time for me and selfish.
HC: What do you look for in a significant other?
KB: Humor, similarities and differences, and fun.
HC: Â Have you been affected by culture shock?
KB: The humor here is very different here and they pay out situations here. There’s more sarcasm in Australia. The food is very different as well, the bread has sugar here, it’s very sweet. The weather is the same though.Â
HC: If you could be any animal what would it be and why?
KB: Probably a bird because I could fly places and travel.
HC: Do you guys have Starbucks in Australia?
KB: Only in the big cities I had Starbucks for the first time here.
HC: Â What do you think of California so far?
KB: It’s familiar the weather is the same. It seems really big and you guys drive on the other side of the road which is weird and the driver seat is on the other seat as well.
HC: Do you have any siblings?
KB: I have a sister who is 19 and my brother is 16.
HC: What does your family do for fun?
KB: Hang out with all my family, my mom is one of 13. I’m the third oldest out of 33 grandchildren and still going.
HC: What is your culture like back home?
KB: It’s a mix of beach and bush because we’re close to the beach but also I’m twenty minutes away from like farming.
HC: What age range do you want to teach?
KB: I thought I’d teach infants and children around those ages but I taught for year 4 and I really want to do that.
HC: What do you miss the most about Australia?
KB: I don’t really miss anything at the moment except for my boyfriend.
HC: What stereotypes are incorrect here?
KB: No we don’t say “crikey” or “throwing shrimp on the Barbie” and Australia is dangerous and everything will kill you is a stereotype.
HC:  What is something you want to experience while you’re in America?
KB: Vegas, Snow, and In n Out, New York for New Years, Disneyland, Harry Potter World in Orlando
HC: Dream job?
KB: Well, you’d think I’d want to be a teacher, but I don’t really know if that’s what I want right now. I guess something that allows me to have the best possible life and be happy.
HC: What are your favorite hair care products?
KB: Body silk- Nucerity.
HC: What are your favorite makeup brands?
KB: Arbonne- a vegan Australian brand.
HC: Work out alone or with a partner?
KB: Depending on the mood I will have a partner or go by myself.
HC: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
KB: I see myself have traveled the world, probably have settled down, and maybe be with one kid.

KB: The Script, Ed Sheeran.

KB: Going to the beach, movies, hiking, sports.
