I am very open about my guilty pleasure: Reality TV. I love the drama and excitement of it all. Some of the things that happen, you simply can not make up! Here are my top five recommendations to anyone who wants to get into reality TV.
The Real Housewives franchise
I would start with any of the Real Housewives shows. The show follows a group of wealthy women that are in the same circle of friends. We watch the things that happen in their personal life in addition to the drama of the friend group. They have several from different locations with have their own unique spin. They’re all fantastic, but if I had to recommend one to start with, I would say the Real Housewives of New Jersey is the way to go.Â
90 Day Fiance
On 90 Day Fiance, American people and their partners from other countries apply for the K-1 visa that allows them to move to the United States. Upon their arrival to the US, they have just 90 days to get married or they will have to leave the country. It’s so interesting to see the cultural differences in this show, in addition to the stress of trying to get married in such a short period of time.Â
The Bachelor franchise
Whether it be the Bachelor, the Bachelorette, or Bachelor in Paradise, I recommend them all. While there are cringey moments and awkward dates, we also get to see sweet moments. The most recent season of Bachelor in Paradise has shocked everyone, so I absolutely recommend watching the rest of it.Â
Love Island (UK)
Out of all the reality shows I have listed, this one is the craziest and raunchiest by far! The plot is to couple up with someone while living in the same villa or you are sent home. This leads to hookups, fights, and a few long-lasting relationships.Â
Selling Sunset
Selling Sunset is the perfect mix of drama and relationships while still filling that desire for incredible real estate. The show follows the Oppenheim Group as they sell the most beautiful and expensive homes in Los Angeles. I have always had a love for beautiful homes so this is the perfect insight into the best in LA.Â
I hope you all enjoy these shows as much as I have!Â
