Your Guide to CLU’s Homecoming Weekend

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cal Lutheran chapter.

Homecoming Weekend is a great time to show your school spirit and celebrate CLU with all of your friends!  But with so much going on in such little time, the event schedule can get confusing.  Here’s a rundown on everything that’s happening at this year’s Homecoming Weekend—Check out the HUB calendar on the Cal Lu website for more information.

Family Reunion

The kickoff to Homecoming Weekend is the Family Reunion on Friday night.  This is a chance for students to spend some time with their parents, if they come to visit, or to kick back with friends after a long week.  Kingsmen Park will be full of food, music, activities, and even prizes, so come ready to have a good time!

Monte Carlo

The Monte Carlo dance is a student favorite at CLU. After dinner at the Family Reunion, grab your fellow collegiettes and get ready for a night to remember!  Attire is semi-formal and there will be a photobooth, so dress to impress!   Enjoy some scrumptious desserts as you play a wide range of casino games, dance, and spend some time with your friends.  All students get in for free, and receive gambling chips that can even be turned in for prizes at the end of the night!

Loop da Lu 5k

If you’re not too tired from dancing all night, join the Loop da Lu! Beginning at 8:00am on Saturday morning, students, alumni, faculty, and community members alike will run around Cal Lu’s gorgeous campus.  Register early and get a free T-shirt!

Homecoming Game

Always an amazing time, the homecoming game is sure to be packed with fans.  Come dressed in purple and gold to show your Kingsmen and Regal spirit (or your T-shirt if you just completed the Loop da Lu!), and be there early to grab free CLU swag!  With spectacular performances from both the cheerleading and the dance team, this game is one you don’t want to miss!

Homecoming Carnival

As homecoming weekend comes to a close, going to the Homecoming Carnival is the perfect way to cap off your night.  With games, rides, carnival snacks and more, you’ll be left counting down the days until next year’s homecoming activities.

P.S. Be sure to check out the Her Campus Cal Lu booth at the carnival for fun activities and a fun giveaway!
