Spring has sprung. You know what that means? New trends are making their way into the spotlight. Treat yourself with an at-home spa day and get creative with some of these playful Spring nail ideas.Â
- I’m So WavyÂ
-
This trend gives me heavy House of Sunny vibes and I’m here for it. Embrace your inner child as you take full creative spontaneity by packing as much color and groove as you can into ten little nails.
- French With a Twist
-
This trend has been increasingly making an appearance in celebrities and social media influencers all over Instagram and Pinterest. This one is for the ladies who take pleasure in the classic French Manicure. But instead, this trend is the French Manicure’s hotter older sister. By adding a little spice to white tips, flirt with your style a little bit and create more abstract, free-flowing white lines.
- PolyGel For The WinÂ
-
PolyGel made its name in the nail game pretty recently within the last year of nail salons shutting down due to COVID-19. PolyGel kits are available on Amazon for as little as $40 and bring the nail salon experience home to you. With a little practice, these nails turn out so beautiful as most colors are see-through creating a jelly-like effect. Not to mention, give you a bang for your buck.
- Flower Power
-
Florals for Spring. I know what you’re thinking…groundbreaking. But these are a classic. And why not have some DIY fun with it? Flower nail art is so easy to do. All you need are a few different pastel polishes of your choice and a toothpick. Make one small dot of polish on the nail and follow it with five slightly bigger polish dots around the inner dot, and there you have it, a flower!
- Marble is The Mood
-
Marble has been in for a few years now, but the new trend for nails right now is pastel washes of marble. And although the picture above may look like ten mini complex masterpieces, it’s actually quite simple to create on your own! Lay out a few colors and drop small dollops of polish on a paper plate. While your base coat is still wet, take a small brush and carefully dip into each dollop of color. Then, (here’s where the magic happens) move your brush in a swirled motion down your nail and you’ll see all the colors blend and melt into each other to create that marbled effect. Finish it off with a clear coat and you’re done! Easy as that.
