It’s another chance to network, meet potential employers and get your name out there.
The Cal Poly Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) will be hosting its first annual career fair on Friday — but it’s not like other fairs offered on campus. It’s oriented toward journalism, graphic communication, business administration and communication studies majors.Â
There will be 10 companies in attendance, which reflect the variety of opportunities for students in these (and all) majors. Among them are KSBY, Barnett Cox and Associates Rosetta, The Tribune, MINDBODY, Bhava Communications, PRP Companies, PG&E, StudioGood and SLO Job Center.
The fair will take place Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. From 1-2 p.m., there will be a panel discussion with professionals from some of the companies, in which they will talk about their background and how they made it in their field.
Not in one of the listed majors? No problem! The career fair is open to all students. Participants are encouraged to dress professionally and bring copies of their rĂ©sumĂ©s. For more information, see PRSSA’s website or the Facebook event.
