Disney Channel is known for their iconic TV shows and original movies. Their Halloween specials featured during “Monstober” are no exception. From the storylines and the costumes to the special appearances, these episodes and movies are arguably the best and most spirited amongst all others. If you want to get in the Halloween spirit, here are nine Disney Channel Halloween episodes and movies that will do the job.

Episodes

Jessie: Season 4, Episode 18: “The Ghostess with the Mostest”

This episode exceptionally plays on all parts of the Halloween spirit, like: spooky ghosts, crazy costumes, and fun decorations! It highlights Jessie and the kids as they are haunted by a frightening ghost named Abigail that resembles the popular ghost girl with long hair that appears in many horror films. It is on the creepier side for a Disney production and is the perfect alternative for a scary movie if they are not your thing. You might even recognize a couple guest stars from “I Didn’t Do It,” wink wink! This episode is part of the Monstober Spooktacular which consisted of several crossover episodes from various Disney shows airing in 2015.

Austin & Ally: Season 4, Episode 15: “Scary Spirits & Spooky Stories”

Do you love Halloween parties and scary stories? If so, this episode is perfect for you! It follows Austin, Ally, Trish, and Dez as they travel to a Halloween party in New York at a haunted house and tell each other frightening stories that they made up. The stories they tell are more on the silly side, which makes this episode more lighthearted rather than creepy. This episode is also part of the Monstober Spooktacular so keep a look out for a couple “K.C. Undercover” characters!

Girl Meets World: Season 2, Episode 18: “Girl Meets World of Terror 2”

This episode is like a two in one! Not only does it connect to Austin & Ally’s Halloween episode since it is also part of the Monstober Spooktacular, but Auggie also tells two stories throughout this episode. The first one is about the ghost who lives in Riley’s iconic bay window. The second one is the story of the haunted house where a Halloween party is held; Maya and Riley go and just so happen to run into the Austin & Ally gang. It is a classic Disney crossover with a meaningful story, something that Girl Meets World is known for.

Liv & Maddie: Season 2, Episode 3: “Helgaween-A-Rooney”

When you think of “Liv & Maddie,” you think of twins, right? Not in this episode! This episode introduces Liv and Maddie’s triplet, Helga. Helga was conjured from a magical amulet, and the twins have to figure out how to get rid of their new sister. Helga is a spine-chilling character, but this episode incorporates some comedy making it the perfect mix of haunt and humor!

Wizards of Waverly Place: Season 3, Episode 2: “Halloween”

From haunted houses to ghosts, this episode embodies everything that Halloween is about! The annual Russo Haunted House is at risk of getting shut down if it is not scary enough. To ensure they bring the fright, the Russo’s decide to use their magic to incorporate real ghosts in this haunted house. However, are the real ghosts too horrifying for their haunted house? You will have to watch and find out!

Movies

Girl Vs. Monster

Who doesn’t love a face-off between a girl and the monsters that are terrorizing her? Girl Vs. Monster follows Skylar as she finds out her parents are monster hunters and accidentally releases the monsters they have caught. It takes a Halloween spin on a coming-of-age movie as it includes romance, conflict, and Skylar finding out who she really is.

Halloweentown

Chances are, you did not find out that your Grandma is a witch who lives in a Halloween city and that you are also a witch, but Marnie did! Halloweentown unfolds as a main character, Marine, discovers the truth about her family and realizes she must do whatever it takes to save her family legacy. This movie captures the essence of what it feels like to be a child during Halloween and captivated by every aspect of the holiday.

Invisible Sister

Have you ever wished you were an only child? Well, Cleo accidentally became one when she turned her sister invisible with her science project. This movie follows Cleo as she frantically tries to return her sister back to her normal, non-invisible state. We can only hope that her efforts were enough, and her sister isn’t invisible forever!

Hocus Pocus

When you think of an iconic sister trio, I bet the Sanderson sisters come to mind. The sisters will do whatever it takes to become immortal. Whether it’s draining the lives of others, turning people into cats, or casting any spell in the book, there is no action they won’t take to ensure everlasting life. However, are their efforts enough or will the people they wronged rise up to thwart them? Are you planning on adding all of these to your watch list? If so, head over to Disney+. There you’ll find every episode and movie mentioned above as well as tons more that will get you in the Monstober spirit! Happy Halloween!
