Joshua Hopkins ’16

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cal State LA chapter.

Name: Joshua Hopkins

Age: 26

Year: Junior

Major: Kinesiology

Relationship status: Single

Why did you decide to attend Cal State Los Angeles?

I got recruited for basketball by the coaches.

Describe yourself in three words?

Determined, accountable, self-driven.

What does your daily routine look like?

Full time school, basketball full time, and I work at UPS.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I see myself either playing basketball still or having a career in kinesiology, working with sports medicine.

What qualities do you look for in a significant other?

Someone that’s loyal, someone who is intrigued with the thought of me and not what I do, and also someone that is goal and family oriented, a Christian, and she has to be beautiful.

If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Chicken enchiladas; it connects with my heritage because I’m Dominican and black.

Biggest turn on and turn off?

My biggest turn off is someone who isn’t trustworthy. My biggest turn on is a girl’s smile and someone who is interested in what is going on with me and has a lot going on for themselves.

Favorite artist? Why?

My favorite music artists are Michael Jackson and Ne-yo because I also sing, and hearing Michael Jackson’s music growing up taught me how to sing and in different variations. And Ne-yo is a great performer.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I probably would say Europe.

Something interesting about you?

I can sing and I’m a twin.
