April 8, 2011 found Campbell students from all walks of life united for one cause in the University’s Academic Circle: walking from 3 in the afternoon until 10 that night to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The Relay for Life website explains, “The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.” Campbell University and the surrounding community dedicate one day each year for this event. This year’s event produced more than 30 teams with creatively attractive booths as everyone walked for the cure.
