The celebrity for this week isn’t known for his tall stature, but rather, for breaking the undergraduate listserve.  That’s right folks, this week’s celeb is none other than Zeesha Braslawsce. Zeesha is a mechanical engineering major from Beaver, Pennsylvania who one day hopes to live on the beach and fish for the rest of his life.  Due to my editor pressuring me popular demand, I requested the opportunity to sit down and talk with the 5’5 sprinter about the infamous email.  Â
HerCampus: So, tell me what was going through your head right before you sent the email to the listserve.Zeesha Braslawsce:Â Well, we have an ALS project that we need to raise $6000 for, so I was just trying to find the best way to get the word out to as many people as fast as possible.
HC:Â So you decided to hit up the listserve without any prior consulting?ZB:Â I mean, I sent it out during chapter, so I was right next to our fraternity president. I mentioned it to him and he kind of just shrugged me off, which was good enough for me to go through with it.Â
HC: Isee. Well, what was everyone’s initial reaction to the email, seeing how all your brothers were in the room with you when it went out.ZB: Honestly, they threatened to kill me less than pleasant.
HC: Â How much money did you get from donations after it went out?ZB:Â Only around $500. Every little bit helps, but I would’ve liked a little more.
HC: Â What was it like seeing your name blow up on social media and even get on the Huffington Post?ZB: I definitely expected to see my name all over social media, but it was pretty cool. I got a few random friend requests, and after the post got out there on the net, a few more hundred of dollars were donated which was really cool too. Â
HC:Â Any future plans for doing this again?ZB: Â Not a chance.
HC: And lastly, any special shoutouts to anyone in particular? Â A certain fraternity brother who you’re rooming with this summer?ZB: Â Nice try.Â
