This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Case chapter.

If you haven’t heard of this week’s Campus Celebrity, then you really need to work on being a better CWRU student. Not only is Chippy Kennedy extremely knowledgeable, motivated, and passionate about his academics, cross country participation, and friendships, but he also finds the time to be CWRU’s student body president. Chippy’s drive, great character, and celebrity status is apparent everyday through his actions as a cabable campus leader.

HC: How did you decide to run for Student Body President?Chippy: I was actually dead set against it for most of last year, but towards the end of the year I was attempting to make big changes on how student government works at CWRU and in that process I realized that there is a lot more that can be done.

HC: What do you like best about being the president?Chippy: Helping to make student ideas come to life.

HC: If you could have your life be remembered for one thing, what would you have this thing be?Chippy: Treating people right, in hopes that every person I meet feels as though I treated them with respect.

HC: What’s your spirit animal?Chippy: An ant. It’s okay with doing a thankless job but there’s a lot more to it that meets the eye.

HC: What qualities do you look for in a significant other?Chippy: She has to have a good sense of humor, be easy going to put up with me being late to everything, and she has to be independent.

HC: If you could be famous, what would you want to be famous for?Chippy: Being an effective politician.

HC: Dream honeymoon spot?Chippy: Backpacking through Southeast Asia.

HC: Your perfect date?Chippy: Go to the airport, hop on the next departing flight and see where we end up.

HC: Dream Job?Chippy: Secretary General of the UN.

HC: Advice for any CWRU student (or college student) on life?Chippy: Stop taking things so seriously. It’s all going to work out in the end. No test, exam, or assignment is worth as much as you are.

HC: Final fun fact?Chippy: Chippy is not my real name.
