While collegiettes wait anxiously for college’s summer vacations – when finals are already over and the spirit of the holydays of Christmas and New Year enlighten the streets and houses – some great films are coming to debut in the most known movie theaters here in São Paulo.
Productions from all over the world will be available to be seen throughout the next weeks of November. Some titles came from the 40ª Mostra Internacional de Cinema (40th International Cinema Exhibition) and will be still shown at the theaters. Other productions within the Hollywood circle are also going to be exhibited – some awaited films will finally arrive to our Brazilian screens.

Week of November 3rd
13 Minutes
This is a biography of Georg Elser, a man who tried to kill Adolf Hitler and prevent World War II. On November 8th, 1939, Elser planted a bomb behind a pulpit used by Hitler in Munich. But the FĂĽhrer left the place earlier than expected, contrary to what the main character has planned.

There, he discovers that the place is not only a medical center, but also the front line against mystical evil forces that want to destroy our reality.

Julia (Marina Person) and Eduardo (João Miguel) are a couple in love. Although, they must learn to deal with problems that come in their way. Pequeno Segredo
Three stories connected by a single secret that involves the first Brazilian family to go around the world aboard a sailboat. Known for its maritime crossings, the family Schurmann kept for a long time the moving story of the adoption of Kat, the kid of the family. Pequeno Segredo is also the Brazilian pre-indicated title to run for the Oscar statue in 2017.

Snowden
This Oliver Stone film is about Edward Snowden, a former CIA official, who disclosed a number of secret documents from the US National Security Agency to the media and press. Those secret documents actually proved that the US government is spying all people all over the world.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
The eccentric wizard Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) comes to New York City with his briefcase, a magical object that carries a collection of fantastic animals in the world of magic he collected during his trips. Among the North American community of wizardry and witchcraft, that fears the exposure to the Muggles more than the English really do, Newt needs to use his skills and knowledge to capture a variety of creatures that end up out of his briefcase.

One day, the lawyer finally accepts the intern invitation for a date and the two of them visit a museum, make a long walk and finish the summer day watching the movie Spike Lee’s movie, “Do the Right Thing”.

Elis – O Filme
This is the biopic of the Brazilian singer Elis Regina. The film follows the artist’s adolescence with financial difficulties and her first tests before having her talent discovered, until the rise of her career, including the television shows she has performed at, her amorous entanglements, the controversial decisions she has taken during the military regime, and the dependence on drugs and alcohol, which led to his early death.
