With the coronavirus pandemic spreading throughout the world, a lot concerts, festivals and large gatherings are being cancelled or postponed. Lollapalooza, Coachella and artists like Billie Eilish, Metallica and Taylor Swift changed the dates of theirs shows to the end of 2020 or 2021.

This isn’t a concert. This is a work of art. In 2018, Beyoncé was the first black woman to headline Coachella. “Homecoming: The Live Album” is a reproduction of her performance on the festival released on Netflix in 2019. The film was written and directed by the musician, whom not only showed her amazing talent on stage, but also presented an intimate, in-depth look of the concert. Bey put on a show so memorable that won a Grammy for Best Music Film this year.
Homecoming is a celebration of Queen B’s career and most importantly, the afro-american culture. She also stripped down barriers of her personal life, showing images of the rehearsals, the difficulty of getting back to perform after giving birth to the twins, Rumi and Sir, and the impact of black culture.
Alongside many dancers, an entire band college band and supporting acts like Jay-Z, Simone Knowles, Michelle and Kelly Rowland (Yes, there’s a Destiny’s Child reunion), Bey set the stage on fire with her biggest hits. A show to sing, dance, get goosebumps and watch over and over again. Coachella truly became Beychella.

The concert is energetic, emotional and presents Ben in atmosphere completely different from the theater. It’s just him, a great set of band and background singers and his excellent voice on display.
