7 Tips To Keep Your Summer Health Motivation All Year Long

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Casper Libero chapter.

Having a healthy life may bring you some challenges, but it doesn’t have to be something boring. Check out some tips to make you #summerproject much more exciting!

1. Find out your preferences

Combine business with pleasure: find out an activity that brings you joy. It may be a sport, a dance class or an activity at gym. Don’t forget to talk to a specialist to guarantee that the chosen activity will be beneficial to your body.

2. Organize your schedules

Previously, reserve some time to your physical activity and commit yourself to doing it. This prevents other commitments (or laziness) from taking the time of the exercise.

3. Find company

Find someone who faces this challenge with you. Besides making the exercise time funnier, a company also represents another motivation not to give up.

4. Improve your alimentation

Food should be an ally of physical exercise. Start with small changes, just like stop drinking soda, drinking more water or bringing lunchboxes to college or work, which prevents you from eating fast foods, for example.

5. Use music in your favor

Music can be a hobby during physical activity. To use it as an ally, organize a playlist with animated songs that will bring you excitement during the exercise and make it even more fun.

6. Look for inspiration

The results may take time to appear, but they do! A good way to remember that and to inspire you is checking blogs or social medias of people who have already achieved their goals. Even so, don’t forget that your main inspiration has to be yourself.

7. Set small daily goals

One last very cool and efficient tip is setting small daily goals, besides the big final one. For example: use the conventional stairs instead of the escalators. After some time, you will notice that you are more resistant to these daily challenges.
