Hello Christmas! 6 Christmas Movies You Can Watch on Netflix

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Casper Libero chapter.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, isn’t it? The most joyful time of the year!

Netflix is well-known for their cliche Holiday-themed movies and I can say I’m one of those people who waits for November 1th to arrive so I can see their launching list for the month and mark on my calendar the ones I want to watch. Am I the only one?

I’ve made a list of a few Christmas movies that I like and are available to watch on Netflix right now. Grab your hot chocolate, some popcorn and press the play button!

Christmas Inheritance (2017)

“To inherit her father’s company, socialite Ellen must first visit his small hometown, where she learns the value of hard work and helping others.”

Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey (2020)

“A musical adventure and a visual spectacle for the ages, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey is a wholly fresh and spirited family holiday event. Set in the gloriously vibrant town of Cobbleton, the film follows legendary toymaker Jeronicus Jangle whose fanciful inventions burst with whimsy and wonder. But when his trusted apprentice steals his most prized creation, it’s up to his equally bright and inventive granddaughter — and a long-forgotten invention — to heal old wounds and reawaken the magic within. From the imagination of writer-director David E. Talbert, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey reminds us of the strength of family and the power of possibility.

The Holiday (2006)

“Stuck in a vicious cycle of dead-end relationships with two-timing men, Los Angeles resident Amanda and Londoner Iris decide to swap homes. There’s nothing like a change of scenery to get you out of a dreary rut… and into a dreamy romance.”

Klaus (2019)

“When Jesper distinguishes himself as the postal academy’s worst student, he is stationed on a frozen island above the Arctic Circle, where the feuding locals hardly exchange words let alone letters. Jesper is about to give up when he finds an ally in local teacher Alva, and discovers Klaus, a mysterious carpenter who lives alone in a cabin full of handmade toys. These unlikely friendships return laughter to Smeerensburg, forging a new legacy of generous neighbors, magical lore and stockings hung by the chimney with care.”

The Princess Switch (2018)

“What happens when Chicago baker Stacy meets a soon-to-be princess who looks exactly like her? Well, they trade places, of course.”

The Christmas Chronicles (2018)

“The Christmas Chronicles tells the story of sister and brother, Kate and Teddy Pierce, whose Christmas Eve plan to catch Santa Claus on camera turns into an unexpected journey that most kids could only dream about. After staking out Santa’s arrival, they sneak into his sleigh, cause it to crash and nearly derail Christmas. As their wild night unfolds, Kate and Teddy work together with Santa – as you’ve never seen him before – and his loyal Elves to save Christmas before it’s too late.”

I had to pick a bonus, the Holiday TV Series that has Nick Jonas as one of the executive producers and a Jonas Brothers cameo. The story is based on a book series, so we can expect for a season 2 next year… maybe!

Bonus: Dash & Lily (2020)

“Opposites attract at Christmas as cynical Dash and sunny Lily trade messages and dares in a red notebook they pass back and forth around New York City.”
