Andrew Garfield, 38, is one of the best actors of today, or better of the last decade, I’d say. He won over 40 nominations and awards, American-born, but since he was a child, he lives in England, he made his film debut in 2005, early in his career with his participation in the film “Boy A”, which won the BAFTA award, a major prize in international cinema and the most important prize in British cinema. In 2007, Garfield continued to prove to be very talented, as it was voted by Variety as one of the top 10 promises to the film world, and we can really say
that he fulfilled this, aroused the interest of directors, and in the same year as part of the cast of the film “Lions for Lambs” where he starred with important names like Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep.
As we can see over time its evolution was clear and with effort and dedication conquered its space in the world of the screens, among its various roles one of the greatest highlights was in “The Spectacular Spider-Man” where played Peter Parker, which I believe is the biggest milestone of your career.
Even after a period of pause, his return in 2016 with a flawless performance in “Hacksaw Ridge”, where he plays soldier Desmond T. Doss, who fights in World War II and excites the public by being a soldier who uses no weapons and kills no one, was worthy of his first Academy Award nomination in 2017 for Best Actor and would undoubtedly be greatly deserved. In the same year, he made the film “Breathe”, where he plays the main character of the young Robin Cavendish.
During his career, he proved to be a very eclectic actor, with a potential ranging from films that thrill audiences to breathtaking action films. The eternal Peter Parker, who has won over fans of all ages, from young comic book lovers to critics, including his appearance in the latest “Spider-Man: No Way Home” hero film, leaves no doubt that his name will forever be branded in the cinematic.
In the final year of 2021, he starred in “The Eyes of Tammy Faye” and “Tick, Tick… Boom!” both very successful, including composer Jonathan Larson, who awarded him a Golden Globe nomination for best comedy/musical film actor in addition to his nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor where he had great favoritism to win the award, and even having to compete with the big names of the cinema Will Smith and Benedict Cumberbatch,
he should have won the award because of the trajectory of his entire career, but beyond that, every detail, his dedication, and the way he conveys the story as if it were real, generates commotion and entertainment for the audience during the film and when interpret Larson shows that his abilities go beyond acting, he also counts on dance, singing, and piano.
This conglomerate of qualities proves that, as well as its trajectory so far, its future will be promising, and even having not won the last Oscar, the rise of its talent can make Andrew Garfield still take the renowned award home.
