Lately, anxiety has been caught everyone’s attention even more and is one of the most talked subjects on the internet. This disturb could be described as a worry or a fear we might have when we’re under pressure or under a lot of stress, that makes us feel like we’re not capable of doing anything to handle or get out of that situation.

Lots of girls deal with this at school, college, work and even at home. Situations that most people consider usual or ordinary, like a test or having a presentation in front of class, could make this feeling worse. Even knowing that this is a serious disease, anxiety’s still treated as a ”silly thing” by lots of people.

According to psychiatrist Thelma da Motta, the main point about anxiety is a disproportionate worry that has no justifiable reason for these high intensity, and that could oscillate with time, bringing enhancement and worsening moments. The first step is recognize that this is a serious problem that deserves attention and has to be treated carefully. The most indicated treatment is using correct medicine, like anti-depressives and having professional guidance, but here are some tips that could help you deal with anxiety and hold it back at situations we live currently day at day:

→ Go to a psychologist, a psychiatrist or someone specialized who understands about this subject. Professional guidance is always the best thing and makes lots of girls feel safer

→ Make some physical activities, like yoga and meditation. Sports and dance could be also a good option because they’re both not monotonous activities and could bring also a lot of fun

→ Make some breathing exercises; they could help you recover yourself and forget rough moments

→ Try not to think about the next day and what could happen. Lots of professionals recommend doing this exercise to forget about your future worries and focus at the moment you’re living

→ Change the scenario and go to another place could be really helpful when you’re feeling stuck somehow. If you’re at college, you can go to the bathroom and wash your face; at work you can stop your tasks and take a break to have a coffee or eat something

→ Listen to calm and relaxing music that makes you feel happy

→ Do some activity that you don’t need to be that much concentrated, like drawing or watching your favorite TV show or movie

→ Write bad feelings at a piece of paper and just rip it off; this will make you feel like you’re bigger than your worries and the anger will go away

→ Talk to a friend about what’s going on and ask for advices

→ Make a list of everything that’s around you; this will take away the focus of the reality

→ Take a cold bath to calm your nerves down

→ Use some essential oils like those made of lavender or rosemary and apply them at your temples, wrists and hands and take a deep breath to feel the good smell. Natural florals are also very helpful and advisable by therapists.

Be always aware that anxiety’s a serious disease and that the smallest symptoms could mean just the beggining of what might turn into a dangerous problem. And remember: you’re not alone!
