“My sister and I decided, at the beginning of the pandemic, to open Sweet Sisters’. We had a friend who sold palha italiana at the school where she studied at Granja Viana and we thought the idea was really cool, so we decided to do the tests to see if it would work”. That was how Carolina Schver, 19, a student of Nutrition, started her store, which today is already a sales success and has won many fans.
But the path was not easy, even though she and her sister, Mariana Schver, 21, were passionate about palha italiana, to maintain a business requires more than willpower.
Following some paths can make the act of running your own business way more easy. So if you want to start entrepreneurship, check out Carolina’s tips:
- Search for the right suppliers
-
“Often, there may be products that are not of good quality or that have very high prices. So that we could develop different flavors, we looked for where to buy ingredients, boxes, bags and everything necessary for everything to work out.”
- Always think of sales and marketing strategies.
-
“Study your audience to know how to disclose, when and what posts do on social networks.”
- Always focus on the client
-
“It is necessary to be educated, know the client’s preference in specific and listen to criticism and compliments.”
- Have a differential compared to other companies
-
“Get out of the ordinary and seek to stand out in: product, service, delivery, quality, etc.”
- Have persistence!
-
“Nothing happens from one moment to the other. If you have the will to open your own business, go back. Things start to work slowly, we always have persistence in what we want!”
Finally, Carolina concludes by saying that “we have always wanted to do something possible to join together and this time we have been very happy, and since then, until today we sell and try to surprise our customers with new flavors and new sweets. “
