Every year Americans prepare for the football match of the season, the Super Bowl. This year it is being hosted in Atlanta on February 3rd at 6:30 p.m et. Attractions like the Super Bowl Experience and halftime captivate fans all over the world. Nonetheless, going into the weekend without a game plan can be stressful. You should want your Super Bowl weekend to be thrilling yet, memorable. In order to make these memories, here are the 5 essentials to hosting your own watch party.
1.     TV
Unless you plan on attending the game in Atlanta this year, it’s important you have a television that your guests love! The larger the screen will always create a better experience; however, this may not guarantee a great experience. Most importantly, the size of your television should be enough for the people at the event. Everyone should be able to be comfortable and see throughout the entire game. If you’re not sure if your television is big enough, prepare multiple watch rooms.
2.     Enough Seating
Once again, you should want all of your guests to be comfortable no matter what. Standing throughout the entire football game is unwarranted. Here’s a pro tip – always receive a head count the day before! A head count allows you to rearrange any previous setups that may have been assembled. Furthermore, it can add to the excitement of the whole party.
3.     Sports Attire
If you don’t own your own football jersey, now is the time to go buy one. In fact, the jersey doesn’t need to be from the Rams or the Patriots. Sporting your favorite jersey through the very end of the season is a sign of loyalty and support. Moreover, jumping on the bandwagon isn’t good. No matter who your team is, make sure to represent hard this Sunday!
4.     Chips & Dip
Just like any party, there must be food! However, during football games meals are essential. Finger foods are the key to keeping guests happy. Whether it’s nuggets, chips & dip, or snack cakes, all of the food must be laid out by the time guests arrive. Of course, make sure you have enough food. This is also why getting a head count is essential. Having to go get more food while watching the game, will be nearly impossible. If you aren’t up to cooking the snacks, cater or turn your party into a potluck as well! Just remember: the simpler the food the better.
5.     The Rivalry
What’s the best part of football games? The rivalry! From the trash talk between fans makes to the tension on the field, all of it is exhilarating to watch. Make sure to invite guests that support each team. This will bring the same competitive rivalry right to your living room. The friendly competition can also last all year. By watching the annual game each year, the battle for bragging rights can become a tradition.
