FASHION LOVERS UNITE!
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, or just not too big on fashion, you’d know that New York Fashion Week just wrapped up a few weeks ago. Designers, bloggers, celebrities and fashion enthusiasts from all over the world gathered in New York City to view all of the fabulous presentaions. Each show curated by designers for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2016 season was nothing short of a sartorial delight!
Ready to take a look at some of the trends you’ll be rocking in the fall? Keep reading to find out!
1. Extra-long Sleeves. Under a leather jacket or on your favorite sweater, rocking extra-long sleeves will give your ‘fit a super chic, cute and cozy vibe. Whether you’re going for chill and edgy or want to serve vintage and cool vibes, this trend is sure to bring out the inner fashionista in anyone!
2. Streetwear. Hoodies, sweatpants and oversized everything! This trends makes us nostalgic of the ’90s, with Aaliyah and TLC vibes. Who doesn’t love a good throwback?!
3. Shades of Tan. Remember everyone’s favorite outerwear piece? The camel coat? The popular color is covering all bases of clothing. Varying tints and tones of tan will be seen in outerwear, knits, dresses and more in camel, khaki, etc.
4. Metallics Overload. Who doesn’t love some sparkle and shine in their life? & gold makes it even better, right? Metallic gold looks had a strong presence on the runways. These looks aren’t for the shy gals! If you’re not up for the all over look, try the bold finish with patterned pieces or on a cool pair of shoes.
5. Off-the-Shoulder Cuts. The spring/summer season’s favorite silhouette made it’s way into fall collections. Get ready to try the off-the-shoulder look on sweaters, dresses and more this upcoming fall season.
6. Pantsuits. This trend will definitely help you channel your inner Girl Boss! This isn’t your typical business attire, but you’ll be sure to conquer anything in these dapper duds. Fun patterns and bold colors definitely make business attire easier to wear.
7. Neck Adornments. Remember the chokers EVERYONE was wearing over the summer? Well, they’ve been kicked up into high gear. Chokers have gotten thicker, more elaborate and oh so chic. This fall, whether it’s a scarf, choker or other adornments, make sure you keep up with this trend!
8. Turtlenecks Under Dresses. Dreading leaving your favorite dresses to hang sadly in your closet this spring? Don’t worry with this chic layering trend. Wear your favorite pieces all year round with a few supporting items. Turtlenecks have made quite the comeback afterall.
9. Cool Plaids. Usually, runways bring us collections and pieces with plaid overloads. For this upcoming fall season, we’ll be able to enjoy cool plaid pieces. Find this pattern on coats, bombers, accompanied by fur trims or mixed patterns. Have fun with plaid in Fall/Winter 2016.
