The Thomas Ingoldsby Wetherspoons is about a five minute walk from CCCU’s Canterbury campus, which makes it the perfect location for a little post-lecture drink or an end-of-year celebration. As such, this week’s Celeb is the Thomas Ingoldsby pub!

The Thomas Ingoldsby Wetherspoons is the CCCU go-to pub. Affordable food and drink and cheerful staff make it the perfect place for a light lunch, a delicious dinner or a celebratory pint.
The pub is named for writer Thomas Ingoldsby, real name Richard Harris Bartham, who was born in 1788 in a building across the road from where the pub is. He was most well-known for his book The Ingoldsby Legends, which was published from 1840 in a periodical edited by Charles Dickens.
The Thomas Ingoldsby menu is fantastic. From tradition pub grub like bangers and mash to American-style platters like pulled pork, from an under 500 calorie menu to decadent desserts, the Thomas Ingoldsby has something for everyone.
And that’s not taking into account the wide selection of beers, ciders, soft drinks and spirits that you can get your hands on!
Here are some of our Campus Correspondents favourite Ingoldsby meals (and a few drinks)!
