1. For the action addict: Iron Man 3 – May 3rd
Robert Downey Jr. is back as Tony Stark/Iron Man for the third installment in this super-franchise superhero flick. Downey faces new villains and makes new friends in this highly anticipated blockbuster- which just happened to be filmed in N.C.! The trailer doesn’t give much away, but you can expect a whole lot of action, amazing special effects and more than a few quips from Downey, himself. Gwyneth Paltrow also reprises her role as Pepper Potts, Stark’s love interest and assistant.
2. For the Literary Lover: The Great Gatsby – May 10th
For those who are a fan of Fitzgerald’s famous novel, this new screen adaptation by Baz Luhrmann (of “Romeo + Juliet” and “Moulin Rouge” fame) will surely sweep you off your feet. The trailer is filled with music from Jay-Z and Kanye West to Lana del Rey, giving this old story a new twist. The flashy costumes, designed by Miuccia Prada, are dazzling alongside the glitz and glam of Luhrmann’s fantastical interpretation of 20’s New York. Check out the trailer here for an inside look at what will be the next big summer blockbuster.
3. For the Comedy Queen: This is the End- June 12th
What if the world had ended back in December? Then we would have never gotten a look at Seth Rogen’s latest flick, “This is the End”. The movie follows some of our favorite funny men including James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill and Danny McBride as the world faces Armageddon. Other famous friends appear in the film, playing themselves, such as Rihanna, Aziz Ansari, Mindy Kaling, Michael Cera, and Emma Watson. 4. For the Indie-Obsessed: The Bling Ring
Sofia Coppola- enough said. Independent film junkies, and Harry Potter fanatics, are drooling over the recently released teaser for Coppola’s (“Lost in Translation”, “Marie Antoinette”) new film based on true events. In the film, Emma Watson plays a young fame obsessed girl in L.A. who steals jewelry and clothes from celebrities, such as Rachel Bilson and Paris Hilton. Watson’s real life counterpart and her cohorts became known as the “Bling Ring” in the media. (You may remember her from the E! reality show Pretty Wild). Watch the trailer here!

You may have heard of some of the leads: Diane Keaton, Robert De Niro, Susan Sarandon, Amanda Seyfried, and Katherine Heigl.
