You know those people who use their entire body to tell a story? Not only do they use their hands or captivating facial expressions, but when they talk about a person or experience, you get a full-blown imitation of the person or a re-enactment of the situation. I used to think I was the only person like this.
Then I met Jack Taylor. There is never a dull moment when he is around. Just by spending five minutes with him, you can see just how full of life he is.
Without further ado, our campus cutie of the week, ladies!
Â
Name: Jack Taylor
Year: Sophomore
Age: 19 years old
Hometown: Winston-Salem, NC
Major: History
Relationship Status: It’s complicated
Favorite song: Carolina In My Mind by James Taylor
Favorite dance move: The arm breaker (It’s a shag move. You better watch out, ladies, because JT can kill it on the dance floor!)
Are you a fan of Jersday Thursday: Yes.
Â
HC: What are you involved in at UNC?
Jack:Â “I am a Young Life leader and a founding member of the Beta Upsilon Chi (BYX) chapter at UNC.”
Â
HC: What is it like being a founding member of a fraternity on campus?
Jack: It’s humbling to know that me and these other guys that are starting this chapter will potentially be able to affect hundreds of lives of the brothers to come. It’s an honor that I get the chance to be a part of it.
(Look out for BYX on campus!)
Â
HC: So now that we know you’ve got your brothers, what about the ladies!?  How would you describe your dream date?
Jack: First, we would go on an easy hike to the top of Mt. Pisgah. At the top there is an inn that has a restaurant inside, which we would eat at. Then we would watch the sunset.
(How to get back down the mountain in the dark is TBD)
Â
HC: Â One last thing. What made you decide to study history?
Jack: I love interacting with people and I love studying how people affected one another, and history is the written account of human interaction.
Jack Taylor is a wonderful person who has such a heart for people. Look out for him around campus! (He is probably wearing Chacos or some type of Patagonia apparel FYI)
