How did you get into editing?
I always liked to edit papers in high school, so my friends would always ask me to look over their’s for grammatical errors and such.
What’s your number one editing rule/what drives you crazy to edit?
The Oxford comma! It’s necessary but we edit in AP style which doesn’t include that, unfortunately. Besides that, the overuse of regular commas drives me crazy or putting in semi-colons when they aren’t needed.
If you could live in any other time period, would you? Which one?
I would want to live in the 1920s because I’ve always loved the music and fashion from that era and intrigued by all of the grandeur that was hiding some serious issues.
If you could go to any concert – at any point in time – who would it be?
I would like to see the Beatles in concert at their peak, so probably in the mid-1960s. They’re one of my favorite bands and it would be so cool to see them perform together live.Â
What’s the best thing that’s happened to you this year?
The best thing that’s happened to me this year is definitely getting accepted into UNC, and then choosing to come here of course!

How did you get into editing?
I love helping writer polish their words to make them shine!
What’s your number one editing rule/what drives you crazy to edit?
Misused commas.
Favorite Greek goddess? (or any goddess really)
Hestia, goddess of the hearth. She’s the chillest of all the twelve Olympians and the only one who rarely got involved with all the godly drama. Because of this, she’s not as well known as the others, but I think not being dragged into the reality show-level craziness of Mount Olympus is well worth the trade-off. #NoDramaGoddess
Current Obsession?
Spicy shrimp crackers from the Asian grocery store. Just the amount of spice, seafood flavor, and crunchiness, while being far more addicting than potato chips.
What advice would you give to yourself at age 8? 12? 16?
Don’t sweat the little stuff and don’t worry about making mistakes! Imperfection is part of life, and eventually, everything passes.
