How has leading a team helped you grow?
Starting out I was absolutely terrified! In the beginning, we had just relaunched in March 2018 and there were only 7 of us and another CC so we were co-leading it was less intimidating. Fast forward to now there are 32 of us so leading a team solo was a huge task that I knew I had to overcome especially since public speaking is not forte and I usually shy away from leadership positions. I think what helped was how passionate I was about Her Campus and Her Campus at Chapel Hill. I wanted to see HCCH grow and I knew from the applications we had an amazing group of ladies who’d be able to help us do this!
Favorite Greek goddess? (or any goddess really)
Athena for sure! Besides being the goddess of wisdom, courage, law and justice, and a plethora of others, she’s the goddess of war. Move over Ares!Â
If you could live in any other time period, would you? Which one?
I’ve recently been watching Outlander so I’m tempting to say 18th century Scotland (I’m looking at you Jamie Fraser), but I’d have to during Ancient Egyptians times! I mean who didn’t want to be Cleopatra, save for the Julius Caesar stuff but Ruler of Egypt? I’d take it. Side note, I’d really want to watch the pyramids being built too!
What cartoon character do you relate to most?
The cartoon Lizzie McGuire monologue! I feel like I’m constantly going ‘why did you just say that?’ or being overly dramatic about stupid things and thinkings my life is over.Â

A college version of the classic childhood slumber party.

Favorite Greek goddess? (or any goddess really)
Hestia, goddess of the hearth. She’s the chillest of all the twelve Olympians and the only one who rarely got involved with all the godly drama. Because of this, she’s not as well known as the others, but I think not being dragged into the reality show-level craziness of Mount Olympus is well worth the trade-off. #NoDramaGoddess
Current Obsession?
Spicy shrimp crackers from the Asian grocery store. Just the amount of spice, seafood flavor, and crunchiness, while being far more addicting than potato chips.
What advice would you give to yourself at age 8? 12? 16?
Don’t sweat the little stuff and don’t worry about making mistakes! Imperfection is part of life, and eventually, everything passes.

How has leading a team helped you grow?
Leading a team has helped me grow because it forces you to learn how to delegate and pay attention to other people’s needs. Sometimes you have to take things on by yourself if you know one of your members has been having a tough week and could use a little weight lifted off their shoulders.
