For a small school, greek life at Chapman makes it seem that much bigger. Here are some reasons why us sorority girls are proud to rep our letters!
1. Instant Girls Who Have Your BackÂ
Whether it’s someone you spot in your class or even in sticky situations at parties or other places, it isn’t weird if you approach them asking for help! Even if you don’t know them that well to start off, it’s the perfect way to get to.
2. Meet Girls Who Share Similar ValuesÂ
Each chapter is founded on a core set of values which motivate us to be the best versions of ourselves we can be. By surrounding ourselves with others who share these same ideals, we are able to add to that motivation and support!
3. Ways To Get Involved
Think about it. How incredible is it that we have 9 sorority chapters on our campus that are completely run by 18-20 something year-olds? These groups of 200-ish women are taking charge and even raising thousands of dollars! And if there is something that interests you, you have a chance to work with it and even put it on your resume. Maybe you’ll realize you really loved being social chair or organizing philanthropic events, and your sisters are there to help and support you!
4. Meeting Role Models who Inspire YouÂ
I don’t know about you guys, but during recruitment I was in awe of all of the women cheering in front of me. And the more I got to know them, my friend crushes continued to grow. Not in just our own chapters, but it’s so awesome to see girls around campus making a difference and reppin’ their letters!Â
5. Great memories!Â
Sisterhoods, date parties, weekly chapter meetings, you name it. There are some memories that you’ll always remember when you reminisce on the college years. (I know I will never forget our rollerskating sisterhood where I fell completely on my tush…but I had my girls right there to help me up!*)Â
*They help me us as they laughed their heads off.*
While there are infinite reasons that each of us could name why we are proud to be in our respective sorority, these ideas connect us all together. Here’s to another semester of enjoying the memories and friendships in the sisterhoods!Â
