8 Necessities for A Day on Campus

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chapman chapter.

1. A Sweater: It may be 90 degrees outside, but at Chapman it’s always freezing in the classrooms. Pack a light sweater or sweatshirt that you can toss on during class.

2. Headphones: Although everyone is supposed to be quiet in the library, we all know it never really is. Bring a pair of headphones to drown out the giggling and whispering around you so you can focus on your work.

3. Waterbottle: Education creates a thirst! But really, it is important to stay hydrated throughout the day to prevent headaches.

4. Chargers: I cannot count the number of times I have had my laptop and phone die on me in the middle of the day. Bring ALL of your chargers to make sure you have enough battery to last you throughout the entire day. Just think, you wouldn’t want to actually pay attention in class because your laptop is dead!

5. Gum: It is important to have something minty to chew on throughout the day!

6. Chapstick: Because it is so dry in this state, it is very easy to get chapped lips. This can become very distracting. Don’t forget to bring those Eos eggs!

7. A Snack: Although there are a lot of yummy places to get food on campus, this can sometimes be very time consuming. A granola bar is quick and easy to eat on the go and can quiet those tummy grumbles.

8. A well-rested you! It is important to get lots of sleep and eat a healthy breakfast before spending the day on campus. This way, you will feel your best and be able to get all of your work done.
